Things to Practice at Home for Kindergarten

• Independently writing your name (Uppercase first letter and then lowercase.  For example: Michael)

·        Recognize rhyming words.

·        Match sounds to each alphabet letter.

·        Count, recognize,and write the numbers up to 20.

·        Recognize a few frequently used sight words such as: the, is, like, can, and we.

·        Identify and draw squares,circles, triangles and rectangles.

·        Independently tie shoes.
