Homework & Expectations
Homework:
Homework is practice and should not be a struggle. It is helpful if you communicate any homework issues to me. Students will write their homework in their homework books at the time it is assigned. We do this as a class and check to make sure it is written.
Behavior:
We have a classroom behavior plan that rewards individual as well as classroom behavior. The school also has a schoolwide behavior plan known as the Hornet Hundred Program. Students stay motivated to stay on task and be mindful of others.
Instruction and Grading:
Core content standards which drive instruction for all 5th grade students are used in my classroom. I use a variety of interventions and methods to teach students these standards. In addition to me assessing these standards, students will self monitor their learning.
